Welcome to the Home page of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Mount Vernon Baptist Church
is a Christian fellowship in cooperation with the Southern Baptist
Convention. Our God-given vision at Mount
Vernon is to be a dynamic spiritual organism
empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with as many people as possible
in our church, community, and throughout the world. We feel God has called us
to minister to the needs of people through worship, teaching, fostering discipleship, fellowship, crisis
ministry, and ministry to all the physical and spiritual needs
of our community and world. Our primary guides for spiritual growth are the
Great Commandments of Jesus to grow daily in our love for God and our love
for other people (Mk.12:28-34). Our primary statement of mission is
the Great Commission (Matt.28:18-20)in
which Jesus instructs us to share his gospel with the whole world. We invite
you and your family to come be part of what God is doing at Mount Vernon Baptist
Church.
